A Sum Of All Mondays

When sharing a photo, the most obvious feature of the presentation is having a great shot. Photosharing sites add other features such as a comment section or a like button. But I wonder if something else can be done. For this project, I wanted to find a way to create a 3D interactive showcase for a single photo.
I took one the pictures from my photography project to test out a few ideas. The main concerns were how to lay out a 3D photo, navigating the presentation, and above all, not letting the interactivity interfere with the real feature, the photo.
One path forward was to present the photo as any other site would do but then add in related material interactively. Most sites also provide a place for credits, exif information and maybe some place for the photographer to include notes. In all, I wound up with six items to show so I decided to lay out the scene in a cube-like manner.
Another point of interest that came up was whether or not to “theme” the presentation. Like all the other side items, it couldn't take away from the main photo. It would have to be something low contrast, and preferably, fit with the photos color palette. I think I did OK with this.
Of course, this could all be done in a normal web environment. What I did here is mostly just an equivalent effort. I think future attempts should be focused on differentiating a 3D presentation from a 2D presentation.
